Employment Information

1. Production Operations & Execution

  • Execute daily production plans as per approved schedules and dispatch requirements.
  • Supervise cleaning, grading, weighing, packing, labeling, and dispatch activities.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of machines and manpower to meet productivity targets.
  • Monitor production output, downtime, and yield; initiate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdown resolution and preventive maintenance.

2. Manpower & Shift Management

  • Allocate operators, technicians, and contract manpower across production lines and shifts.
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and shift adherence.
  • Train shop-floor staff on machine operation, work instructions, safety procedures, and productivity norms.
  • Ensure smooth shift handover and continuity of operations.

3. Shop-Floor Discipline & SOP Adherence

  • Ensure adherence to approved work instructions and operational SOPs.
  • Maintain orderly shop-floor practices, housekeeping, and line discipline.
  • Ensure proper material movement and storage as per defined process flow.
  • Escalate operational deviations or process issues to the Production Manager.

4. Machine & Utility Monitoring

  • Monitor operation of VFFS packing machines, conveyors, weighing scales, and allied equipment.
  • Maintain machine operation logs, production records, and basic checklists.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for spare availability and service support.

5. Safety, Cost, Waste Control & Kaizen

  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and PPE usage on the shop floor.
  • Monitor material consumption, wastage, downtime, and line losses.
  • Identify opportunities for Kaizen / continuous improvement in productivity, layout, material flow, and manpower efficiency.
  • Implement small improvement projects to reduce waste, improve cycle time, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in Kaizen initiatives, suggestion schemes, and standardization activities.
  • Report safety observations, near-miss incidents, and corrective actions.

6. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and maintain daily production MIS, downtime reports, and manpower records.
  • Track productivity, efficiency, and machine utilization metrics.
  • Coordinate with DCs, Planning, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams for smooth operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practice sharing across units.
